Smyle
Smyle was crowned winner in this hotly contested category after a fantastic
year, which saw the 170-employee-strong creative agency deliver over 350
projects across five continents and enhance its service offerings in hybrid
experiences, creative strategy, moving image and measurement.
Seven new clients joined the Smyle roster, and the agency retained 100%
of its clients including long-time partners Samsung, Red Bull, Wella and
Salesforce. All this helped the business to grow to an estimated £13.4m
revenue with a 48% increase in staff.
To broaden, diversify and future-proof its offering, Smyle added two new sister
agencies: Dreamlike State and Powered By Humans. These two additions sit
alongside NJLive and The Sports Presentation Comp, forming a five-agency
creative force with a passion for people, brands and the planet.
On the sustainability front, Smyle has introduced TRACE by isla on every
project with over a £20k budget to inform its sustainability practices, while
the agency’s commitment to internal culture has been recognised by the
Inclusive Workplace Programme (2022) and Campaign Best Places to Work
(2021, 2022, 2023).
Smyle is committed to attracting diverse talent through partnerships with
10,000 Black Interns and by joining D&AD’s Shift Programme (an industry
led night school for under-represented talent) and has implemented several
initiatives to create an inclusive workplace and culture. The agency has also
introduced an improved benefits package and plans to launch a leadership
development programme for women.
