Cisco Live 2023 Amsterdam
Cisco Live is a must-attend education, advocacy and development event
targeting network engineers, executives, IT Managers, CIO’s, customers,
prospects and industry influencers.
Every year George P. Johnson (GPJ) works with the brand to find a fresh way
for Cisco’s community to experience, interact and learn about its products
and key developments, and 2023 was significant as it was the first time Cisco
Live EMEA was held in-person for three years.
GPJ needed to create a captivating environment to welcome returning and
new participants under the theme ALL IN. It was also challenged to drive the
reduction of carbon emissions and waste to ensure this would be the most
sustainable Cisco Live EMEA to date.
GPJ built ‘The Hub’ - an engaging brand environment spread across 14,000
sqm at Amsterdam RAI, where participants could go ‘ALL IN’ for collaboration
and learning. At the heart of this was ‘Social Media Central’ - a functional
environment that connected the participant’s physical and digital worlds.
From building online communities on social media, to registration, schedule
builder, wayfinding and the event mobile app, GPJ crafted a cohesive
experience that enhanced participants’ ability to be ‘ALL INvolving’ with the
event and community.
The five days featured over 1,000 sessions, almost 2,000 ancillary meetings
and two keynotes with approximately 5,000 people attending each. The event
attracted 14,000 attendees, of whom 90% said their relationship with Cisco
was strengthened, 79% of customers learnt about a product/service they had
previously not heard of, and the event scored 4.51 for overall experience.
