Amex GBT has an environmental strategy that focuses on achieving net-zero emissions by 2050,
with interim Science-Based targets set for 2030, and holds multiple sustainability accreditations,
with EcoVadis Platinum being one of the most prestigious.
A dedicated project team manages accreditations with C-suite oversight. Urrutia says that
achieving external certifications is not just about validation—it also improves internal processes and
strengthens ESG execution.
