Aspect is a full-service corporate events and communications agency
headquartered in London offering content, creative, production, tech
and data, delivery and measurement.
In addition to its ISO and EcoVadis accreditations, the agency is an
SME Climate Hub member, a global initiative that empowers small to
medium sized companies to take climate action.
A Net Zero Carbon Event (NZCE) signatory, Aspect has a clearly defined
pathway to Net Zero and publishes its emissions on its website on an
annual basis. Aspect’s Sustainability Manager is also part of a global
discussion group created by NZCE and ICCA who meet monthly to
discuss food waste and food waste management to improve the
content of the food management guidelines published on the NZCE
website.

The entire team has undergone training via Isla, which includes
Sustainability 101 Parts A and B, Understanding Net Zero, Proceed in
Practice and Corporate Communications. Looking ahead, the team
will be undertaking training via the EcoVadis Academy to support its
ambition to achieve EcoVadis Gold in the future.
Aspect is actively promoting the use of event:decision’s Track and
Impact tools to clients. The agency’s broader CSR activities cover
environmental, ethical, philanthropic and economic causes, including
a partnership with The Felix Project through fundraising activities,
donations and volunteering.
BCD Meetings & Events
With teams servicing clients in 60+ countries around the world,
BCD Meetings & Events, offers services across event design, brand
experience, meetings management, production and content, venue
search and sports travel and hospitality. BCD M&E is a division of
BCD Travel Group, and all sustainability reporting and certification is
undertaken collaboratively.
Not only do BCD’s priorities align with the latest best practices, like
receiving a Platinum EcoVadis rating for the fifth consecutive year,
having a verified SBTi target and being a UN Global Compact signatory
since 2008, but BCD M&E has ISO 20121 certification, which recognises
that the agency has implemented a framework for any type of event
or event-related activity to recognise sustainability in key focus areas.
One of BCD’s key strategies to reduce its carbon footprint is to invest
in renewable electricity across its wholly owned offices, with the aim of
being 100% renewable globally by 2030. The company has a charity of
the year each year and supports food banks at its annual conference,
while the internal charity committee works throughout the year on
multiple projects.

Thiago Araujo was recently appointed to the new role of global
sustainability director at BCD M&E to further enhance BCD’s mission to
drive sustainability across corporate travel, meetings, and events.
The appointment follows publication of BCD M&E’s 2024 Sustainability
Guide, which provides tangible insights into the organisation’s key
sustainability focus areas and outlines its core commitment to
advancing the industry standards and accountability across regions.
