Lemon Lane
Lemon Lane is a boutique full-service event management
agency founded in 2020 with sustainability as one of its
core pillars, delivering a broad range of corporate events,
including conferences, incentives, and roadshows.
Despite only being a team of 15, Lemon Lane has
a dedicated in-house sustainability manager, Zoe
Waterhouse, and has invested in comprehensive
training for everyone.
As a young and smaller agency, implementing
sustainability initiatives has been easier due to a flatter
decision-making structure, according to Waterhouse.
“We don’t position ourselves as a sustainable event
agency, rather we position ourselves as an event
agency that aims to do sustainability very well,” she
says.
The agency doesn’t have a physical office, which
naturally helps reduce internal carbon footprint, cut
down on unnecessary office waste, while maintaining
flexibility.
In early 2024, Lemon Lane commissioned a
comprehensive sustainability review from Bulb
Consultancy, which has served as a foundational
element in shaping its ongoing sustainability strategy.
The agency’s corporate emissions are being calculated
with support from Earthly, with 2024 marking the
agency’s first year of corporate carbon accounting.
With 2024 as the baseline year, Earthly and Bulb are
supporting Lemon Lane to create its science-based
target initiative for 2025 and beyond.
Lemon Lane is committed to investing in nature through
Earthly’s high-integrity projects, which remove carbon,
restore biodiversity, and improve livelihoods. Starting in
2024 and moving forward, the business will ensure that
this investment exceeds its annual corporate carbon
footprint.
